At Nation1 we invested a lot of time in our values and culture. Advertising and digital marketing is fiercely competitive in the UK and an overcrowded market. As well as focusing on mobile apps and niche digital marketing activity we have further differentiated ourselves with this unique culture.
You need to be on the same page as us if we are to successfully work together. Friendship, greatness and ambition are our core values. Standard stuff like hitting deadlines and being contactable at all times throughout the project are a given.
Nation1 has a reputation for creativity and always producing innovative work, and that's not going to change. We need world class talent to help us deliver word class results.
Current positions are available in London and across Scotland.
If you're still interested, we promise to give you great stuff to work on.
Love writing? Got a way with words? We need someone that can turn their hand to writing body copy for websites, prose for blog posts, engaging tweets for twitter and comments that get noticed on forums etc. The ability to adapt your style and tone of voice for the client/campaign as required is essential. Previous experience on this is also essential, as is a track record (and by that we mean you need to show us URLs and PDF’s etc of stuff you’ve done and copy you have generated). You’ll work hand in hand with our SDEO and Online PR team and we’ll give you direct access to the client at all times.
Straight talking, no-nonsense candidates need only apply. SEO has got a reputation akin to that of a dodgy recruitment agency or private hire cab. Guys that bamboozle with jargon and speak of dark arts. We’re not into that. We are looking for someone that gets it and doesn’t mind sharing their plan of attack, in plain speak to our Clients. Proficient in using online tools to search key words and establish best approach/strategy. Experience of Adwords/PPC, AdSense and tagging/analytics/reporting. We already have a great in-house guy, but we need more talented people with a hands on approach to explain what needs to be done and then roll their sleeves up and deliver the goods. Ability to write great client facing reports is a must.
We are currently looking for experienced app developers both freelance and agencies, that we can partner with/white label your services and resell them to our clients. You must have a proven track record of delivering apps for clients and have work live on the app stores. Your work must achieve a minimum of four out of five stars and over 70% positive comments. Your apps must also load quickly and be bug free. Currently we have requirements for iPhone and Android developers, but are keen to add Windows and RIM devs to our suppliers database. We’re also looking App designers with an understanding of user experience. The ability to attend and excel in client facing situations is essential (clients across the UK). Experience of Basecamp project management tool is a big bonus.
We are currently looking to partner with small web development agencies (based in the UK) or one man band freelancers that have a proven track record in open source, PHP working in concrete5, Drupal or other popular CMS systems (we are unable to work with companies/guys that have their own CMS systems or use .net). An understanding of SEO is essential (you’ll work hand in glove with our SEO team) and the ability to design in-house a bonus, but definitely not a requirement. We are looking for experienced developers (min 5 years) that can hold a conversation with our clients' and explain technical stuff in layman's terms (agencies and non UK companies please do not apply). In addition we are looking for a team/suppliers senior enough to present solutions when the inevitable hurdles occur and to make recommendations (not just follow a brief like a slave to the rhythm). You must be able to respond and act to our clients needs when suits them, so a if you swear by the old nine to five routine – you ain't for us. In return we'll give you access to great clients, infesting work all without the hassle of having to spend time or money on business development. We are looking to develop long-term relationships and have damn high standards. Only the best need apply.
Try as we might we have failed to find a partner/supplier that really gets what online PR is all about (or what we think it’s all about). It's kind of like SEO (content generation) with the principles of traditional PR thrown in mixed up with a good helping of journalistic skills and sprinkled with a command of English. You'll need to be great at writing and content generation and you'll need to understand how to tease out a story and pitch/sell that to the given media. Your team will also need to know how to hunt down the relevant online forums, blogs, opinion formers and influencers across a range of social media that fit our requirements and get them engaging with us. Experience of monitoring tools such as Radion6 is a bonus but not essential as is experience with SEO (but our SEO team will work with you on that front if required). Bottom line you/your team will need to work hand in glove with our team to add extra noise to the campaigns we create, and in return well make sure your give the best creative platforms to build on.
