June 1999

Andrew Grant founded 6th Sense a flier distribution company based in an attic suite in Glasgow.

Sept 1999

The Clubber's Guide was launched. A FREE A6 publication handed out in bars across Glasgow. Due to the success of the Glasgow edition an Edinburgh edition was launched.

June 2000

Brylcreem approached The Clubber's Guide team in Glasgow to sample Brylcreem in Ibiza. The team created an award winning campaign that dramatically increased sales and won the team a 'Best Advertising Campaign 2000'. The Clubber's Guide was sold and NATION1 was born. This allowed the team to focus on advertising.

May 2001

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra appoints NATION1 to launch their new season with the UK's first ever LIVE musical billboard. Glasgow City Council, Milk Development Council, Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland and Subway appoint NATION1 to work on local marketing campaigns.

March 2002

After a wave of new business wins and impressive growth NATION1 move to their new offices on West Regent Street. NATION1 win Royal Mail Winning Post award for their Tennents Lager DM.

October 2003

NATION1 is named as Scotland's fastest growing advertising agency in the Drum Magazine's Annual Review. NATION1 open London office.

June 2004

NATION1 win SAPPI IDEAS THAT MATTER AWARD for the British Stammering Association work. NATION1 named as Scotland's fastest growing advertising agency for the second year running.

January 2005

Nation1 is appointed by BAA Scotland to create a series of press adverts.

April 2005

Nation1 is appointed to research the new branding for Bowmore in Scotland and the USA.

June 2005

Nation1 and Co-Op12 host a conference on transatlantic marketing at Scottish Enterprise head office to leading Scottish businesses. Nation1 wins Glasgow city council account.

July 2005

Nation1 launches JumpstartUK.com, Nation1:online, Nation1:special ops and Nation1:youth comms and beefs up account and creative teams with four new staff.

October 2005

Nation1 is appointed to launch Xscape and the £70m development including real snow ski slope and aerial assault couse. Nation1 also wins BAA project and Scottish Quest.
